This one does a little better timing-wise than the JS one in Reaper: Pitchproof: Pitch Shifter Harmonizer Specs - Aegean Music but the pitch might actually be a little better in the JS one. Also, on the lowest notes of the bass (low open strings) it really doesn't hold up the greatest.Īnybody mess around with this kind of thing? What kinds of tools do you use? Plugin suggestions? I've tried a couple free ones to not much avail. So, when you feather it in with the regular bass track, it sounds more like a chorus/ doubler effect. And the worst part about it is that it doesn't seem to produce the octave down in "real time" with the main bass track - There is a slight delay in the octave down signal, unfortunately. The JS "Octave Down" plugin actually does a decent job, but it's not stellar. So, I've got this Bass track that I want to make a duplicate of an octave down. We'd love to hear what you have produced with Reaper, but please post it in the weekly sticky.
